Our foundation
The Refuge is an interdenominational Christian community. These are the beliefs and values that shape everything we do.
Unity does not require uniformity — here is where we stand together.
The Refuge is an interdenominational Christian community, independent of any denomination. We stand together on core Christian beliefs while respecting our differences. Unity does not require uniformity.
The Bible’s 66 books are God’s inspired Word, without error in their original writings. Scripture is our foundation and final authority for what we believe and how we live.
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: three distinct Persons, each fully and equally God.
We have all sinned and need reconciliation with God. Jesus, God in human flesh, lived without sin, died for our sins, and rose from the dead. Salvation is God’s gift, received by grace alone through faith in Jesus alone. Good works are our response, not how we earn it.
Baptism publicly declares our faith in Jesus. It is an act of obedience that follows salvation, not something that saves us. Through Communion, we remember Jesus’ sacrifice and proclaim His death until He returns.
How we live out our faith together.
Rooted in Christ. Growing together. Serving others.
The Refuge is an interdenominational Christian ministry. We welcome people from different backgrounds while holding firmly to core Christian doctrine. We are here to encourage faith and build community, not replace the local church.
We have all fallen short of God’s standard, but through Jesus Christ, we can be reconciled with God. Salvation is His gift, received by grace through faith, not earned through our own works.
Wherever you are starting from, we want to meet you there while continually pointing you toward Christ. Come learn, pray, share a meal, and ask questions. You do not need to have everything figured out to take your next step.
Be served. Be loved. Be strengthened. Build relationships and grow alongside others. When you are ready, help create refuge for someone else.
We are committed to transparency and honest communication with everyone who participates in our ministry. Explore our bylaws to learn how we operate, or reach out with your questions. We welcome the conversation.
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
