Church
The Refuge is launching a church on August 22, 2027 — a community centered on Jesus where anyone can find refuge, make community, and be the light.
Counting down to launch

days until Launch Sunday — August 22, 2027
We are planting a church for people who are far from God, new to faith, or looking for a family. No pressure, no performance — just Jesus, honest community, and room to grow.
Step 1
Prayer, vision, and laying the foundation of a family in faith.
Step 2
Gathering the launch team and planning how we will gather, worship, and serve.
Step 3
Practice, outreach, and everything in place for opening day.
Step 4
We open the doors. Find refuge. Make community. Be the light.
Cover the launch in prayer — for the team, the city, and every person who will walk through the door.
Help us set up, welcome, lead, and care for people from day one.
Use your gifts — music, kids, hospitality, tech, and more — to build a warm place to belong.
Be there for our first Sunday and bring someone with you. Everyone is welcome.
Everything we build rests on God's Word. Read our Statement of Faith below, explore the full Core Values page, or review our bylaws.
The Refuge is an interdenominational Christian community, independent of any denomination. We stand together on core Christian beliefs while respecting our differences. Unity does not require uniformity.
The Bible’s 66 books are God’s inspired Word, without error in their original writings. Scripture is our foundation and final authority for what we believe and how we live.
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: three distinct Persons, each fully and equally God.
We have all sinned and need reconciliation with God. Jesus, God in human flesh, lived without sin, died for our sins, and rose from the dead. Salvation is God’s gift, received by grace alone through faith in Jesus alone. Good works are our response, not how we earn it.
Baptism publicly declares our faith in Jesus. It is an act of obedience that follows salvation, not something that saves us. Through Communion, we remember Jesus’ sacrifice and proclaim His death until He returns.
